Psychotherapy / Counselling

It is not uncommon to the human experience, to at some point in our lives – feel, think and behave in certain ways that may be new and strange to us. We may have unresolved dilemmas, our minds and health may at times feel weakened by the pressures of modern life or we feel pressure from circumstances that might have changed.

Therapy is meant to empower individuals once again- as we discover that nothing is permanent and challenges are there to be overcome.

Approach

I have a calm, approachable manner and offer a safe environment to all who seek my help and contribution.

I believe life can be joyful and positive – however, negative aspects have a function in our lives and are not to be undermined or forgotten. They just don’t need to determine or dominate who we are.

My approach is Integrative and focuses on psychodynamic, relational and cognitive therapies – in short - a blend of psychotherapy, psychology and counselling, dependent on what the difficulties are and what you need at the present.

There may be past issues or not. Your thinking may not be reflecting the reality around you. Your emotions may be overwhelming at times. Your relationships may be suffering as consequence. And the list goes on... for each specific need there is a different perspective and unique individual history.
